IN ORIGINAL BOX AND LEATHER CARRYING CASE
This spring lancet is in not only its original box, but its original leather carrying case as well. There is an inked name that is difficult to decipher on the upper inside of the lid, and “1828” written on the lower inside of the lid. In addition, there are the initials “W.H.R.” written in the recess of the case where the fleam resides. The marks of “Wiegand & Snowden” and “Phila” and “delphia” (written in two lines) are clearly visible. According to Edmonson, John Wiegand and Thomas Snowden were partners from 1824 to May 1855, thereafter the firm continued as Thomas Snowden.
